How Is NDTL Calculated? 

The NDTL is calculated by subtracting the sum of demand and time liabilities of a bank from the deposits in the form of assets held by the other bank. You can understand it by the following example, 

Suppose, a bank has deposited 10000 with the other bank and its total demand and time liabilities are 20,000. Then the net demand and time liabilities will be 10,000. 

NDTL = 10,000 – 20,000 

            = 10,000 

What Are Demand & Time Liabilities? 

The demand and time liabilities included 

  • Unpaid Dividends 
  • Suspense Account Balances Representing Amounts Due To Other Banks Or The Public 
  • Net Credit Balance In Branch Adjustment Account
  • Interest Accrued On Deposits

How Do You Calculate CRR And SLR?
